A bit o' green (Diva Challenge #159)

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
 - Irish Blessing

This is the passage I was focusing on as I tangled this tile for the Diva's Challenge #159 called "Top O' The Morning."

This was not my first tile for the challenge, but 'tis the one I've chosen to share.

For the first time in personal tangling history, I started with droppers of green alcohol ink. And doesn't that official Zentangle tile just soak that ink right up! }}SLURP{{ !!

It made the tile all wibbly-wobbly, and I was wondering if I might lose the nib on my 03 Micron when getting into the real inky parts, but no.  Micron be saved, faith and begora!

 And speaking of Ireland ....

I loved it there. I went in 2007 and visited the house in Innagh where my great-grandmother and her mother was born, and visited the cousins who still live in the house. We saw the school that my grandmothers and relatives went to.

Cliffs of Moher were even more beautiful than I could've imagined.

The people were wonderful. The food was incredible. I felt the spirit of the land reach deep into my soul.

St. Patrick's Day isn't an excuse to booze up and talk of the woes from our troubled immigrant ancestors. It's a day to remember the traditions brought over and celebrated through generations, remembering and honoring our roots.
